Nike Sustainability Club

Nike Sustainability Club is an internal club within Nike’s employee base that is making strides towards not only focusing on conversations around sustainability but also creating informative workshops and grassroot initiatives for how to live sustainably outside of the work being done on product. 

When they contacted me to create a mark I knew I wanted to work in some form of the ∞ sign; by turning the S on it’s side this replicated the infinity sign suggesting a repetition. The three R’s known in the sustainability world are Recycle, Reduce, Reuse. I wanted to create a version of this within the design language, so I came up with Replicate, Rotate and Revolve; and this led to the repetitive S letters which revolve around the swoosh pinwheel which is used at Nike to represent sustainable product. I left the pinwheel unfinished to signify how our work is never complete in keeping our planet healthy and making responsible choices.
